The theme was intimacy and we could illustrate our own take on it. I wanted to depict how it feels mentally to fall in love and gradually grow more intimate with someone. There is an element of anxiety and fear in having someone know a much more personal side to yourself. There is beauty in the relationship and growth between the two people. You learn a new perspective on life from one another and bring out the best in each other. I wanted the focus of this illustration to be in the line work. I was really inspired by another artist by the name of Jasmine Chan. She recently has been doing a lot of tattoo designs and I decided to make a tattoo design of my own. In terms of the concept, I took inspiration of a dream I had of pink dragon in a field of cherry blossom trees. The imagery was extremely vivid and stuck with me.
